Saw it tonight with a bunch of friends.
Loved it. I'm a happy camper. Sure, I could nitpick a few things, but hey, it's entertainment and I won't because I was entertained. Definitely will see it again before it leaves the theater because its scale demands large screen viewing. There are enough Easter eggs for the longtime fans that I found myself smiling and clapping when they appeared. The new actors carried off the familiar characters quite well. New timeline leads to all sorts of possibilities for the franchise to continue.
However, I know I watch a lot of sci fi when I was surprised that there was no entropic cascade failure or a Wookie at the end. Live long and prosper.
