Harnessing the power of internet

Yes, the internet is often used for forwarding all sorts of weird stuff, a lot of it funny and a lot of stuff that sends me running to Snopes to debunk what I've just received. However, this is all true and I hope you'll vote and pass this on to folks with a similar plea. I don't do Facebook, but there's a page already there just for this. It's called "Let's get Becky Fluke a CMT Award!!!" I don't know if you have to be on Facebook or not to see it, but I'll put the link at the bottom. The link that' s next is the one I really want you to visit. It's the place you need to go and vote so that Becky will win an award.

http://www.cmt.com/cmt-music-awards/ <--Register (only takes a few seconds) and then vote for "Life in a Northern Town" as best collaborative video of the year.

Please go there, register and vote for Becky Fluke. She's the daughter of Craig Fluck, a very good friend and at a very young age she's up for a CMT award. Thing is, it's a contest where folks can vote, so I need y'all to vote for Becky. While still in high school, Becky began taking pictures of country groups when they came to town and by the time she graduated, she'd impressed Sugarland (a country group from Atlanta who has won a slew of awards) so much that they hired her on to be their official photographer. Since then, Becky has gone on to take pictures for a lot of country stars, including Martina McBride. She's moved into video, too, and directed the video for "Life in a Northern Town," which is a collaboration by Sugarland and Little Big Town. You can see it here: http://www.cmt.com/videos/sugarland/209852/life-in-a-northern-town.jhtml

It's that video that's been nominated. Here's the Facebook page:http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=574509673&ref=name#/group.php?gid=84497784424&ref=nf

When she was first getting famous, Becky came and took pictures of India when she was less than a week old. Not surprisingly, they turned out beautifully. Between her photos and those of Binks', I got a great foal album. Want to see more of Becky's pictures? Go to her site: http://www.flukephotos.com/ In fact, India is still on her website! She's picture #24 in the "singles" section of her site.

So, please vote for Becky. She's so very talented and she's originally from Macon (appealing to those of you with ties to this fair city ;) and it would be so very cool in the coolest and truest sense of the word if she won. Thanks.

Kathleen
