Life is Good

In honor of Memorial Day, a red poppy.

Excepting the lack of house faeries to clean my house, this weekend has been just about perfect. Thank you to the following for making it so: John, Asia, Grits, Jim, Jenny, India, Elaine, Craig, Shane, Diana, Astro, Rufus, Annie, Sparky and Kudzu. Y'all are the best. Now it's raining again, just like it's been doing on and off since ...gosh, whenever I started to feel moldy; I think that was last Wednesday. The forecast through next Saturday is depressingly the same: thunderstorms. It's a good thing to sleep under a tin roof and listen to the rain.

Oh, if you've not read Meg Gardiner's Evan Delaney series of thrillers, rush over to amazon and order all five and then sit down and devour them. I just did. I'm sad that they're all done. I hate getting to the end of a really good series. Ms. Gardiner has a second series going and I've got the first book on its way to me now. But what to read until it arrives Tuesday? Yeah, yeah, that stack by the bed is huge. I'll find something.

PS to Sharon: I got your email Friday morning and have just been too busy to reply. Will do so soon. Yeah, it's easy to get in over your head. Been there, lived that. {{{hugs}}}

Red Poppies, something that bridges US cultural divides. We used to buy paper ones from veterans on Memorial Day.
