Creatures from Outer Space!! or gosh, it's an X File

Found this bug two days ago and took his (her?) picture. Didn't get around to downloading them until just a little while ago.

This is one cool looking bug. I should make use of the astounding array of information available to me on the internetz and figure out what this bug does for a living, but I'm content to leave that up to Mulder and Scully. (Pssst! Just in case you've forgotten, but I'm sure you would never do that, the new XF movie is released on July 25th. I'll be there.)

List of weekend joy:
1. Went mountain biking with Julie and Ryan at Thomson. Had a blast.

That's Ryan barreling over a log pyramid.
2. Went to horse camp (1099) with my sister and Joanna. My sister rode Babe and I rode Asia while Joanna rode her new trotting horse. *g* Had a blast. Asia did not jump back onto the trailer to return home, but then again she never does. Worked with her and had her on in about ten minutes. I'm learning a lot from this mare.
3. Old Clinton brunswick stew. Yum.
4. Gave away a VCR and a bird feeder thingie and an ancient vacuum cleaner that is tiny and we haven't used in 15 years. All given away on Freecycle. If you don't know about Freecycle, you're missing out. Give away stuff you no longer need or want. Ask for stuff you do need. Keep it out of the landfill. www.freecycle.org Join the one nearest you.
5. Farscape. Watched two more eps in S4, but I've still got a long way to go.
6. Wifi. Thank you Atlanta Bread Company.

Now, time to think about dinner. Asia and Babe have had theirs, the pups aren't far behind. It's the humans who don't have prepackaged meals that create the biggest conundrum. I'm thinking squash and cheese. Not squash and cheese together, but that smothered squash recipe and then an appetizer of cheese. Cheese improves everything!

ETA: Finished Under the Banner of Heaven. I would have been through days ago if I weren't always so sleep deprived. I'd pick it up this weekend, go get in the hammock and promptly fall asleep after a page and sleep for an hour. So, finished it just now. The big question becomes, "what next?" That applies to so much in life. Usually the answer is laundry. ;p
