Terry is having a 50% off sale with free shipping. I shouldn't be spending money this month cause I've already spent more than enough at Horny Toad, but half off on the bike skorts hasn't happened in recent memory. I think the last time I saw that was at least five years ago. Having worn a skort this afternoon to pedal around the Thomson trails, I can tell you that they're the bees knees. I've wanted their new cargo skort since they introduced it two years ago, but it cost $100. No way was I going to spend that. I just gladly spent $50 for one. So, if you need bike skorts, jerseys, or some cute, casual clothes or jewelry with a bike theme, run over to Terry. Here's the link to the sale page:

Hey, go check out Google! It's got Paddington Bear. :0) I never knew that Paddington and Fox Mulder shared a birthday. Cute.
What a great day: Rode Asia in Dooly County with Grits. I had such a wonderful time. We took a lovely trail ride and then schooled over the fences in the pecan orchard. Grits rode Asia for a bit, too, and you know, I've never seen anyone ride this mare but me so it's hard to see how she looks under saddle. I was thrilled with how well she moves and delighted to watch Asia ridden by such a skillful rider as Grits. I could have watched a lot longer, but Grits gave me Asia back and I schooled her over the jumps, too. Grits gave me some good advice on jumping Asia and I appreciate it. It's amazing how the bad habits I learned so well when I was sixteen follow me 30+ years later, despite my efforts to ride differently. Muscle memory is an amazing thing. Sometimes that's good, but in this case, not so. Still, I felt as though I improved and that helps Asia jump better, too. Alas, although I had my tiny Sony camera with me, I didn't have the memory card. :::slaps forehead::: I would have loved to have gotten some pictures of Grits jumping Asia.
Grits is delightful and the unexpected pleasure of this summer was getting to know her. Alas, she's returning to Canada for a few months (just in time for the snow, I suppose ;0) and I won't get to ride with her until she returns. Safe travels, Grits.
Oh, and I had enough time in the afternoon to ride my Klein at the Thomson trails. Horse and mountain bikes all in one day; it's almost like winning the lottery.
