Why I love a good pony

This is Sunny, who is a 42 year old pony!! Sunny and his young rider are doing a dressage test. Note that this pony knows the test so well that even though his young rider cues him for the trot many strides out, Sunny waits until he gets to C before picking up the trot, which is what the test requires.

Just goes to show that old ponies, with proper care, can do great. Ralph's not sound, he came to me with a bum leg, but he's in really good health and he is only a few years older than half Sunny's age. I hope that Ralph, or Ralphie Mae as Kelly likes to call him, lasts for years and years. I wish he were sound so a little girl could love all over and ride him, too.
