Beginner’s Mountain Bike Clinic Saturday, May 10th at 10:00 a.m.
Location: Georgia Children’s Home
4690 Mumford Road
Macon, GA 31210
Do you have a mountain bike but don’t feel comfortable riding on dirt? Want to improve your skills? Learn some tips to help you enjoy your fat tire bike by coming to OMBA’s Beginner’s Clinic. OMBA, which is the Ocmulgee Mountain Bike Association, is here to help. Bring your bike and we’ll get you started on The Pig Trail at the Georgia Children’s Home.
Cost: Free!!
Mandatory: You MUST have a helmet and a fat tire bicycle. We aren’t brand snobs, but it must be a bicycle in safe, working condition.
All ages welcome, but please, no bikes with training wheels. Riders must be able to ride unassisted. The section of the trail we’ll ride is easy with minimal climbing. We will give tips for shifting gears and don’t be embarrassed if you’ve had your bike a while and haven’t figured out how or when to shift. We’ll help you.
The clinic lasts three hours and you’ll spend about 2 hours on your bike. You’ll need a water bottle and bottle cage on your bike, and water will be provided by OMBA.
Free cookout after the clinic for participants. Please RSVP to kath.oneal@gmail.com so we will have a head count. Questions? Feel free to email or call me at 954-6414 and ask for Kathleen. Learn more about OMBA here: http://www.sorbaomba.org/
Mountain biking is great fun. Come out and give it a try!
