Corrie's daughter called around 2:30 p.m. and said that my lesson this afternoon was cancelled because her momma was at Auburn with a horse. For those of you who don't immediately know what that means, it means that the horse is sick enough that the local vet feels like the expertise of the vet school is needed. I didn't get the details from the young lady, but I said a prayer for that horse. So, I was bummed that I didn't get the fun of noodle legs again this afternoon, but I did get to go see India a day earlier than planned. Without further ado, please admire this huge girl, who was quite affectionate and happy to get groomed. In case you have any doubts about her breeding, she puts them to rest. Just look at those hindquarters and that head carriage. She is Quarter Horse through and through.

I don't know who the chestnut is behind India in this pic, but he appears to be a good buddy as she was near him when I first got there and this was taken as I was getting ready to go. When I turned her loose after grooming, she headed back towards this guy.

Laurie sent me a new picture of Gunner, India's father. I can certainly see a family resemblance.

Gunner was gelded close to two years ago.
