Here's a picture taken last April of the wall across from my kitchen window and the patterns made by the collection of bottles that I have on the windowsill as the morning sun came through.

Shadows
It's going to be cold tonight, so we're wussing out on the mountain bike ride at Thomson. I feared that I'd have to wear so many layers that I'd resemble Randy, Ralphie's little brother in A Christmas Story. You remember him; he was the child that was always falling over in the snow and couldn't get up because his snowsuit was so bulky. As the windchill is below 30, I'm using my swampflower nickname. This kid really doesn't do well in cold. Bring on the heat! Gosh, just two days ago I was driving to and from work with the top down on the Miata and now there's a chance of non-sticking flurries. Weird, crazy weather.
