Asia started colicking last night. This afternoon I took her to the vet's and she's spending the night there, getting water pumped into her stomach every two hours. The vet is cheerful as this is not a bad case of colic by far, but I can't help but fret as colic is what did in Spooky seven years ago and it's never a good thing.
So, please send up the good karma thoughts for Asia. The vet isn't going to call tonight unless it's bad news, so I pray the phone stays silent until tomorrow morning, when she'll call with an update.
I've been at the barn since 8 a.m. and I walked 21,201 steps today, which is 8.35 miles. A lot of that was walking Asia. I'm pooped. Off to shower and crawl in bed with a good book.
