Home

I'm back and boy, jet lag is a nasty thing. You'd think that two hours difference isn't all that much, but yeah, it is. The fact that I'm always sleep deprived might factor in a bit, too.

Montana and Wyoming? Too gorgeous for words. :::flails at loss of language skills:::
I want to go back.

Astana? Whoa....impressive. I adore Fabian Cancellera and have loved having him in yellow these four days. That'll change today, I'm sure. I'm wondering if John and I could book a trip to Paris and be on the Champs-Elysees on the 26th. I've wanted to see Lance on the podium and thought I'd blown it when he retired, but I may have a second chance. I love the Tour and this one is shaping up to be fun.

And my husband? THE BEST IN THE WORLD.

This box set of the entire series (all neatly packaged and taking 1/10th of the shelf space that the individual seasons do) might have something to do with it, but even if this wasn't waiting for me upon my return, I'd still proclaim him to be THE BEST IN THE WORLD! If anyone reading this wants a good deal on used dvds of Stargate SG1, speak to me. We can work something out, otherwise I'm putting them up on amazon's site, or maybe ebay. In the meantime, I'll be rewatching the entire series and falling in love with it all over again (when I'm not riding my bike or messing with Asia or India or Ralph or petting Lissan in Kelly's absence).

When most women think of fine, Italian shoes, they think of Via Spigas and the like. Me? I think of this:

That's a pair of Sidi Dominator 5 Women's MTB shoes that I picked up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a very good price. Still expensive and shockingly so, but 1/3 off and I couldn't let them go by. The fit beautifully and they feel even better. John's had his Sidi's for at least five years and loves them. If I can keep Astro from chewing them up, I plan on having them for at least ten. He chewed up a nice pair of Diadoras that I had for less than a year shortly after he arrived at the Black Hole. Bad dog! Anyway, these Sidis are being stored on a very high shelf away from the Destroyer of Worlds.

Although to Astro's credit, he's calmed down a LOT since that first week.

And now, off to the feed store and then to work. ;p
