What do you know for sure?

Get introspective and make a list. Post it to your own blog, start one if you don't have one. C'mon, start it and send me the link. I'll read it. Promise. And if you don't want to post your list for all the world to see, well then send it to me. I really want to know.

Ok, here's a list of things that I absolutely know. Some of these border on profound. Others border on the profane. All are true for me.

1. I was put on this earth to feed a horse. I'm feeding three, so I'm an overachiever.
2. You're just about as happy as you make up your mind to be.
3. Sometimes it's ok to end a sentence with a preposition. It is never ok to end it with the preposition at. Drop the damn at! It's unnecessary and as my mother will tell you, "It's behind the at." As always, my momma is so right. /end rant
4. If the only prayer you said in your life was thank you, that would suffice. (This is a quote from Meister Eckhart.)
5. Being kind is the most important thing we can do for each other.
6. Any weekend where I've had to pee in the woods is a good weekend.
7. The bicycle is the greatest invention to date. TiVO is second and isn't even close.
8. Nothing smells better than a horse's mane.
9. You only go around once in life, but if you work it right, once is enough. (Joe E. Lewis gets credit for that one.)
10. Messing around with time travel is never a good thing.

I'll stop there as ten is a nice, round number. More as they come to me.

Hey Kat,
I'm your southwest NC dot! (at least at the moment!)
You've given me something to chew over. I know a few things:

1. I know a lot less at 41 than I KNEW at 21.
2. I'm tickled blue that NC was called for Obama.
3. It is no coincidence that Dog and God are anagrams.
4. Gravity, while painful, is good. It keeps you humble.

If I were still 21 I could add loads more. Alas, at 41, my fingers are sore and I need to have more caffeine!

Work should also be at the top of the list...sadly...it's not.

thanks for the chewable thoughts!
Leslie

Nothing you know for certain is for certain so enjoy it while you can.
