Went mountain biking this afternoon at the Pig Trail (that's the Children's Home, for those of you reading who have moved but used to ride it and that's what we called it back in the day ;0) and the leaves were so gorgeous in one section of the trail that I had Diana turn around and ride it again so I could get her picture.

And then she took mine:

And after pumping up his tire three times, J finally decided to change the tube about half way along the trail.

No more mechanical issues after the tube replacement.

All in all we did 8.5 miles at The Pig and averaged 7.4 mph. I'm pretty pleased with the distance and the time. It's time to start thinking about IDIDARIDE http://www.suwanneebike.org/ididaride.htm again. We got in and I want to finish it this year. I'll need to add some road miles to the mix. I have acquired a good, Gortex bike jacket so I won't have clothing failure as a reason to quit. Of course, it probably won't pour rain the entire time precisely because I bought the Gortex jacket, but that's ok with me.
