Just proving that you can find anything, I mean ANYTHING, online, I give you this link:
and here it is again, but not as hypertext: http://www.matts-place.com/intermodal/part1/sea_containers1.htm
This, my friends, is a website devoted to intermodal containers. I've spent a good 30 minutes clicking on the links. There are so many different types of containers and what's fascinating to me is that there are plenty of people in the world who find them and take their picture and then Matt puts them online and you and I can surf around and see them. It's a beautiful world and I am not being facetious when I say that. I am thrilled that there are so many people intrigued by so many different things and the internet brings it right to your kitchen. Cool, isn't it?
John left this afternoon for Rome, Italy. He did not want to go, but off he went. He's on Delta and I'm happy about that because he can start accruing frequent flier miles after wiping them out to take us to Brazil. He'll be back Friday afternoon. Going back to this wonderful internet, he sent me an email from his iPhone to grumble about being stuck in the middle seat on a very full plane while the plane was still on the ground in Atlanta. That's going to be a very long 9 and a half hours for him, but he's 3 hours into it, so only 6 and a half to go.
Today's promised rain never materialized and I took the pups and went to the Thomson trails. We had a great time until my back tire flatted. I keep a pump in my Camelbak, but the tire would not hold air, so I had to walk the bike out since I didn't have a tube in my Camelbak. If I'd been at Dauset, I would've made sure that I had a tube or used the bike fix-a-flat if I was far from the trail head, but the Thomson trail is so windy on itself that you're never too far from your car. For those of you reading who know it, I was on the Witch's Beak when I realized that the reason my bike was acting squirrely, and had been since the Watermain Whoop, was the flat. Dogs and I walked out and loaded the bike in the truck and called Diana to tell her that I was safely out so she and Shane wouldn't come looking. I had thought I'd fix the flat once I got home, but nope, shower and a grocery store run and feeding Asia and Babe instead. I won't take it with me to the bike race tomorrow morning...hmm, maybe I will. It's always more fun to ride a bike than walk.
Tomorrow will be cold. Today was hot. Spring is fickle.
