Christi gave me this incredibly gorgeous bowl last month that she made and I have been meaning to share it with you ever since, but I had to find a nice day to take it outside and photograph it so you can see just how lovely it is.

Amazing, no? It is. Thank you, Christi. Christi's house is full of colorful, beautiful ceramics that she's created and I love to stand in her kitchen and look at them. I was so excited when she gave me this bowl because it's gorgeous and the blue is so cheery. I love to look at it on my counter. Hey, it's 2011 and I'm very happy to see it finally get here. In case you're wondering, I don't do resolutions, but I'm all about goals. Goals for this year:
1. Run more. Shouldn't be too hard as I started tracking my runs this year in August, so I've now got 12 months to boost my total. In case you're wondering, since last August I have run 138 miles, which is very impressive, but let's go with kilometers cause 222 sounds so much more impressive than 138. Bigger number for the win! ;0)
2. Read more books. I've had the attention span of a flea lately. I start a book but I put it down. I just can't stay focused. Magazines are more my speed these days.
3. More joy.
4. Update the resume. (That will not be joyful, but it should be done.)
5. Dust off my mountain bike. I've not ridden in way too long, but it's not as though I've been a slug, either. See item #1 for proof of that. However, it's a shame that the Prettiest Bike on the Planet (tm: Me!) is gathering dust.
6. Bike to work once March comes. This won't put any miles on the Pretties Bike on the Planet (tm: Me!) as the old Trek 930 is my commuting bike, but it will help keep me in shape and I like to ride a bike. It'll also help with #3 above, too.

I like all of your goals!
This bowl is wonderful.
It is always good to have your resume polished (sort of like always having band aids in the house. You hope you don't need them, but it is good to have them at the ready).
