Racing Smurf!

My Christmas present from John this year is a new paint job for my much loved Miata. My daddy bought this car new in 1989, the first year they came out, and it was one of the first in Macon. He gave it to me two and a half years ago when he finally outgrew it. I adore this car. It's stick shift, so it's zippy and fun to drive and it gets great gas mileage.



The racing stripes are not original. I wanted them badly and think that the car looks cool with them.



Kevin, the artist who did the body work and the paint job on Smurfette, liked the idea of racing stripes, too. I wanted them wrapped all the way around. I don't understand people who only have stripes on the hood or the front of a car. Weird. Looks as though they've run out of paint.

I love this car. I am so happy with the new paint job that I had to share.
