Great Art and Great Beer

Visited the Leonardo exhibit at the High Museum in Atlanta today. The exhibit was mostly studies he had done in preparation for final works and he'd cram a lot onto a single sheet of paper, often using both sides. The High passed out magnifying glasses so the details could be studied. Fascinating line drawings full of motion and scale. It was well worth the drive up and Atlanta traffic, which always puts me in a tizzy because the cars, they go so damn fast and zoom from lane to lane on the interstate. Good friends live just a bit south of the Capitol in a funky neighborhood, so six of us from way down south drove up, rendezvoused for lunch at the house and then a trip to Hop City and onto the museum.

I showed great restraint. This is what I brought home.

From left to right:
Lump of Coal Dark Holiday Stout (Much More Than You Deserve for Xmas This Year)
Really Bad Elf (A Rather Serious English Double Ale)
RIdgeway Bitter
Left Hand Brewing Co. Smoke Jumper Smoked Imperial Porter
Lion Stout
Red Hook Limited Release Treblehook Barley Wine Ale
Breckenridge Small Batch Double Hopped IPA

Remember what that great thinker Benjamin Franklin said, "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
