Christmas Treats

Went to a cookie party yesterday where we exchanged homemade treats. One of the guests brought the following and handed out the recipe. It's very darn good without being too sweet.

Brickle

40 saltine crackers
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 twelve ounce package chocolate chips
chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Cover cookie sheet with foil. Place 40 saltine crackers on foil.
On stove, melt butter and brown sugar. Bring to full boil and cook three minutes, stirring constantly. Remove and pour over crackers. Bake for five minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Leave until melted.
Spread out the chocolate and sprinkle with nuts.
Refrigerate for at least four hours. Break into pieces.
Store in airtight container in the refrigerator.

OMG, good!
