Wait, I went to Louisville!

Well, that's how it looks going by the headgear you see on Jann. This is the Derby hat that Jann made for me, but I got her to model on the streets of Savannah. The tourists who passed by on the nonstop tour trolleys loved it.

Six hours of driving for two and a half hours spent laughing. So worth it.

Jann is going to leave Vento in Brazil while they move, which will be late next month. She's trying to find a place to board Vento near the capital of Sri Lanka, which is where they'll be living and so far she's not had much success, but she's hoping that being in country she will find something and get the final word on what requirements there are on importing a horse. Both she and the shipping company are having a hard time finding out and it may well be that the paperwork and quarantine changes from day to day.

If she can't find anywhere to board him in Sri Lanka, he will be coming to live with me, which I would love. Their next posting four years from now will be Berlin and he can be shipped there easily. Germany is the epicenter of dressage in this galaxy, so she'll have no problem finding a place to keep him there.

Jann's momma, Betty, has a website: www.farmsatfolly.com Go check out all her organic veggies and treats. Then drool over what I got. I've already eaten the raspberry-mint muffin and am eyeing the chocolate chip. This is making a nutritious dinner tough.

John called me as I was leaving Savannah to say that his direct flight from Ottawa to Atlanta was canceled. He considered staying overnight with his family, but got on a Continental flight to Newark instead. He texted as I was near Dublin that he had made it to Newark and had a tight connection. I doubt his luggage will make it. Keep fingers crossed. So, he'll be pulling in around midnight tonight. This gives me time to watch the final eps of S2 of Farscape. S3 arrived two days ago and awaits. Why did I wait so long to start watching this fantastic show?

Hey there lady! How are you doing??? I have been checking your blog periodically...hmmm. I am a horrible blogger, I have been captured by the evil-doers at Myspace and have been chatting up a storm over there. I need to get back on the saddle with Mid Ga on blogger. WE are going to be in Savannah for memorial day weekend. May 22nd-26th. I told Diana, we may have to do a 1/2 meet thing to catch up! Talk to you soon!
