Yes, I am gainfully employed and pay my bills on time. How, you ask, after reading this?

Early yesterday morning at a gas station I managed to lose my car keys after putting them in the ignition. Let's just say that it wasn't one of my more shining moments, but thank goodness I found them hiding there before I called John to tell him he had to come rescue me far, far away from home. How could this happen? Well, 1990 Miata's have an indentation in the steering column for the ignition and the boxy, center portion of the steering wheel hides the key on its Stargate keyring from view. Sure, I put the key there, but I was focusing on putting my diet Coke in the cup holder and then getting to work early. Inattention and poor design shot that all to hell. It took me seven minutes of searching all my pockets, dumping out my purse, and going thru my gym bag before I found the keys and that's only because I got out of the car and went around to the passenger side and was digging around on the floor when I glanced up and saw the Stargate dangling in front of my face. Oy. You may mock. I mock myself.
