Christmas Day at Thomson

Moss along the trail near the creek down along the Witch's Beak at the Thomson Trail.
Ferns
A yellow fern among the green ones.
Diana and John move dirt into a sinkhole in a whoop.
Diana surveys the trail she's just debermed.
Shane, John and Kudzu open a channel for the water to use to escape the trail.
At the the Spiderweb, John, Sparky, Rufus, Astro, Kudzu and I posed for a family picture.
It rained too much last night to ride the trail, so we hiked it and did trail work, mostly opening up the berms so the water could drain where it had collected. What a warm, winter day! We were in the woods almost three hours. The dogs loved it and they're quite sleepy now. I was worried that Kudzu wouldn't be up to it as the cancer is really slowing him down, but he kept up pretty darn well.

This is why I live in middle Georgia: I can go hike in a t-shirt and be comfortable. Yes, the summers are a bit hot, but not a bother. I'm such a swampflower.
