I had to wear uncomfortable shoes to work. There was a meeting scheduled today that all of upper management was dreading. It turned out better than we expected, but it was still unpleasant, and my shoes hurt. They look good, though, and they aren't even really fancy heels or anything, just a small wedge. Sensible, fancy shoes, if you will, but they still hurt my feet.

I came home and while feeding Asia, Ralph and Lisan, I noticed the gorgeous sky and the winter sun on the trees and the fence line and I ran into the house and grabbed my camera. I was wearing comfortable shoes by then. I always change into jeans and clogs or sneakers when I get home. I could run, despite the weird thing on my foot that's plagued me for a year because I was wearing cushioned, comfy shoes. Anyway, look at what I saw!

Look up! Look at that sky. Isn't it gorgeous?

My tiny excuse for a pasture is full of trees in one corner. This is a cool one.

Look at the sun on the fence line.

I stuck my nose in Ralph's forelock and breathed deeply. I looked at the sky. I looked at the sun on the trees.

Despite uncomfortable shoes and stressful meetings, isn't the world full of grace?
