India: The Cantering Cow Horse

Today, India cantered under saddle. Hmm, since she's all in Western tack, I suppose I should say that she loped. She loped just fine. Jenny is very pleased. She says that she's very smooth at both the trot and canter.

Me? I'm tickled pink.

More pictures and video of today's lesson to come later. I just am so excited about my smart, smooth girl that I had to get these up as soon as possible. I also need to go tack shopping for POTU. Anyone got a line on a used roping saddle? India looks so very good in western tack that I want to outfit her with western saddle and bridle. You can rest assured that there will be a Stubben Siegfried upon her back before too much longer, but seeing as how her natural carriage is so very much western, I'd be a fool to fight nature. Thank Gunner, her sire, who is 97% Foundation QH. Laurie tells me that his training as a barrel racer is going very well.

YAY, POTU! And thank you, Jenny, for doing such an excellent job starting my filly. I couldn't be more pleased with how well she's doing.
